Bucklin 2021 Bucklin Ancient Field Blend Old Hill Ranch Sonoma Valley

Product Details
Bucklin Ancient Field Blend comes from the original vines
that were planted on Old Hill Ranch in the 1880s. There are oodles of fruit
with the typical, although muted, Old Hill spice. It is quite structured with a
generous mouthfeel that balances the tannins nicely.
The "Ancient Field
Blend" comes from the original vines that were planted on Old Hill Ranch
with a number approaching 160 years of age - the oldest producing vines in
California. Approximately 65% Zinfandel with the remaining varieties co harvested
and fermented together. Includes about 15% Grenache, with interplantings of
Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Grand Noir, Syrah, Carignan, and Mourvedre and
about a couple dozen other varieties they've identified so far. As Will Bucklin
likes to say, twelve acres, 30 grape varieties, one wine.
